George Washington Birthplace Association (GWBA) is a co-operating friends group of George Washington Birthplace National Monument and the National Park Service. It provides assistance to the Park in the form of funding for special needs, interpretive activities, and educational programs. To further these programs, we hope you will consider becoming a member of this prestigious organization for only $35.00 per individual, or $45.00 per family. At this time of reduced emphasis on history in our public schools, historic sites are more important than ever. Your support of the George Washington Birthplace Association is crucial to increasing the level of historical education at the Birthplace.

Free admission to George Washington Birthplace National Monument- Enjoy a guided tour of the Memorial House, Colonial Kitchen, and other historic buildings. Visit farm animals just like those in colonial days including sheep, hogs, chickens, and red devon milking cows. Roam the grounds of the park, taking in all of its beauty and splendor. Observe wildlife in its natural habitat, and maybe even spot some bald eagles nesting in our trees.

Enjoy a unique shopping experience with gifts for all ages. Take home a souvenir of your visit, and treat yourself to something refreshing to drink and a snack. Their famous ice cream sandwiches are made just down the road, and have been a crowd pleaser for years, now.
The privilege to visit the park library located downstairs in the visitor center- Not advertised as being offered to the general public, as a member you have the opportunity to sit and look at any and all of the books on the shelves of the park library. They can't be "checked out", but you are welcome to enjoy them as long as you like during regular park hours of operation.
